Even during this period, the position of payment of installments by the members did not change the position of cash flow was very dismal resulting into further slowdown of development activities at site. The progress of work was as given below: Roads: |

The members did not make any payment of their installments due to general over all slumps in the real estate business. However, we continued the development activities with our resources, though at a slow speed.

Footpath with Tuff tiles has been completed on the rightside and the one on left-side on Major Road M-1 is in progress. |

24" diameter Rcc pipe drain laid in the median of major road M-1 in about 1300 Rft length for storm water drainage. |

Sanitary sewers have been laid along major roads M-3 & M-10 and work of laying Sewers is in progress along major road M-6. |

Earthwork of roads in progress. Superstructure of roads like Sub-base/Base course being laid and compacted in sector 'B' and 'C'. Asphalt concrete/carpeting laid on major road M-1, Avenue 1 and Street No 1 to 5 of Sector 'B'. Footpaths along major road M-1 are in progress. |

Box culverts on roads M-1, Avenue I and II have been completed and the one on road M-4 has been taken up for drainage of rain water. Open drains along road M-3 and M-4 are also in progress. |

Sanitary Sewerage System has been laid along roads M-1, Avenue I and II and Street No. 1 to 8 of Sector 'B'. |

Crosses for water supply have been laid in Sector 'B' and water lines shall be laid in the frontal area shortly. |

Street light poles have been brought at site and some have been installed/fixed on major road M-1. |

Plantation and turfing has been done in the median of major road M-1. |

Graceland Housing feels great pleasure in announcing the issuance of Full and Final NOC from Ministry of Defence. This by no standards is a small achievement. In this connection MOD Letter No.6/17/Misc/D-28/2005 dated 11th March 2008 may be cited for reference. |

Work is in full progress and the project is coming up exactly as it was conceived on the standards of DHA phase II Islamabad. Work on Main Boulevard is in full swing. The culverts on Main Boulevard and on Avenue I and II for drainage of rain water is nearing completion. |
|
|
|
Work is also in progress on water supply pipelines and sewerage system manholes in the frontal area. |
|

|
|
The heavy monsoon rains caused lot of damage to the earth work of roads done earlier in the scheme; there were deep rain cuts and ravines. |
|
|
|
Repair and restoration work is in progress but the recent winter rains and severe cold weather conditions intermittently obstructed that over the last more than one month now. |
|
|
|
Beside restoration works, other original development works like construction of Box-Culvert on Major road M-1 has been completed and work on Box-Culverts on Avenues and construction of drains for the disposal of rainwater is in progress. |

Pipe drains in the Central median of major road M-1 is in progress alongwith rainwater chambers, catch pits and gratings. |

The progress of development work was at its lowest ebb during this period due to heavy monsoon rains in the area. However, with our concerted efforts N.O.C was obtained from Environmental Protection Department, Lahore Government of Punjab after fulfilling all their requirements and meeting their concerns regarding the usual environmental issues involved in the development of housing scheme like assuring safe piped water supply and Sewage Treatment Plant besides the proper Solid Waste Management and its disposal. |

- Sector D: Street No. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,10 and 15.
- Sector E: Street No.3 and 4.

The Graceland Housing Scheme was declared clear of the 'Negative Area' by the Ministry of Defence Government of Pakistan and a Gazette Notification was issued to this effect in April 2007 after 18 months. Struggling to get clearance from M/O Defence with hectic efforts. |
